Decoupled Days 2026 will be held in person at Montréal CoWork in Montréal.

Getting to Montréal

Montréal is well-connected domestically within Canada and internationally from around the world. The city is served by one of the busiest international airports in Canada with services from most inhabited continents with fast downtown connections via bus, taxis, and rideshares. For travelers in the region, Montréal is a major transportation hub, with Via Rail train and intercity bus services available, as well as expressways to other major cities and the United States' eastern seaboard.

  • Traveling by plane: Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is a hub for Air Canada and Air Transat, two of the largest carriers in Canada, and is served by major Canadian airlines (WestJet, Porter Airlines), U.S. airlines (American, Delta, United), and many others, with routes available to five continents.

  • Traveling by car: Montréal is a key hub for the Québec Autoroute system, and is served by Autoroutes A-10, A-15, A-13, A-20, A-25, A-40, A-520, and R-136. Interstate 87 in New York State becomes Autoroute A-15 at the Canada–U.S. border.

  • Traveling by train: Via Rail provides services to Toronto, Québec City, and other destinations, and Amtrak provides services to New York from Gare Centrale (Central Station).

  • Traveling by bus: Multiple bus companies provide intercity services between Montréal and other major cities across Québec, Ontario, and the northeastern United States.

Preventing the spread of COVID-19

Though vaccines are now widely available for COVID-19, much of the population remains vulnerable. While no solution is foolproof, standard precautions can be taken to help prevent the spread of the virus.

  • Wash your hands. Handwashing is the most proven and recommended way to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, as well as any other communicable disease. Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds after using the restroom, eating, or coughing or sneezing into your hands.
  • Cover your cough (and sneeze). Since the novel coronavirus is spread through airborne droplets, preventing the spread of droplets is key. When coughing or sneezing, do so into a tissue or your elbow. Do not use your hands. Wash your hands as soon as you can afterwards.

If you are sick, stay home. If you are concerned that you have novel coronavirus or any other communicable disease, please stay home to avoid infecting others.
