There is no single, unified controller layer, in the sense of the classic MVC pattern. Instead, there's an elegant, "controller-free," architecture which allows "smart functions" to make all the decisions, do all the work, and hand off to each other as required. The result is userland code that is breathtakingly simple, driven by configuration options that are extremely powerful.
